First ever piece of Art!

We were at church Sunday night for our ALPHA course and Miss Magoo was in child care and this was they did while she was downstairs.

I am so proud of our little girl! I actually teared up when I realized it was her first ever piece of art work.

Of course we have it hanging up. :) Not on the fridge, since magnets won't stick to ours for whatever reason. But it is hanging proudly on the wall where we can see it!

Great job, Miss Magoo!!

URGENT Prayer Request

UPDATE - 2:12 pm

Per Jeannie from Annabelle's Wish, she was there when the doctor came out. The surgery was a huge success and she will hopefully never need any further heart surgery again. We were all so thankful. We spent some time in prayer thanking the Lord for this precious child, her family, the surgeons that repaired her little heart. Sooooo much to be thankful for!

THANK YOU GOD for this miracle!!!!

UPDATE - 9/30/08

Leslie and her family are home from China and today Susannah is having her heart surgery today. Please pray for Susannah, that God will heal her heart. Please pray for her momma and daddy that will have peace from worry during this time. They are saying 10-12 hours she will be in surgery.

This is a desperate prayer request for a family in China right now! Please

please pray for them and forward this prayer request to all you know:

The Irwin family is in Kunming China right now with a very sick
little girl. (Susannah) They had their gotcha day at the hospital.
Needless to say, this is a crisis and we need to be thinking of them
in the upcoming days. If you are a prayer warrior, please pray for
them and their daughter. They need to find a way to get her back to
the US as fast as possible--as safely as possible. Having been in
this position, I know God can arm you with a momma bear instinct and
you "get it done". The family could really use our prayer support.

One silly girl

Miss Magoo was going on this morning about having a boo-boo on the end of her nose. She insisted on having a bandage. So I couldn't resist taking a picture of her in her electric green band aid.

I was surprised that she kept it on for quite awhile before she announced to me, "it's all better" and off it came. :)

We've been given a Blog Award!

I was checking out my friend's Terry's blog, and saw that she nominated Miss Magoo's site for a blog award! Thank you Terry!

So here's how it works:

1. Put the award on your blog
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you
3. Name at least four fellow bloggers for this award
4. Add links for the recipients
5. Leave a comment to let the recipients know they have received the award.

Also, here are my favorite blog award picks. Remember to click on each name to see their blogs.

I have picked my friend Lavonne. We met through the LCC Yahoo group and she invited us to her church and it has become our home church as well. She has 4 from China and I just love seeing how they are doing and to see how much she and her husband Scott are enjoying their children and how happy they are to have a full house. :)

Next, I chose Debby. We met Debby and her husband Dave through Lavonne and we are getting to know both of them and their family (they also have grown children and a grandson) as we were able to sit for their 4 also from China. It brought back memories of when I used to be a pre-school teacher. I really enjoyed it and look forward to more get together's.

I also want to give a blog award to Kelli. We met Kelli through the same adoption agency as Miss Magoo. We had the same LID as Kelli for our little girls, but Kelli is still waiting for her precious little one to come home. I will be rejoicing when that day comes! In the meantime, she travels (for work) and has a great support team (other families that have adopted also.) I love reading about her travel adventures. Sometimes wishing it was me. I love to travel. Of course we would take the kids. What a better way to experience life but to travel to different countries.

I certainly can't forget to give an award to Stefanie. Even though we have never met I always check out her blog to see how things are going with her and her 8 little ones (4 bio and 4 from China) and how she does it! She is a mom of all mom's!

So I hope you take a moment and check out all the blogs and enjoy reading about their journeys and adventures.
