It seems like forever since I've posted anything about Miss Magoo. I have been so busy with trying to get everything done for Elijah's adoption, you know airline reservations, hotel reservations, fund raising, all that kind of stuff.
But I did want to share that Miss Magoo is so EXCITED about having her little brother come home!
We have always talked about Lil Monkey, aka Elijah, but since we received TA, she has gone on about him non-stop.
I asked Miss Magoo the other day what she was going to do to help momma with Elijah and she told me, "I will help you make a bottle for him." She then proceeded to show me how to make a bottle, "You will hold the bottle, I will pour the milk and put on the top." Her little hand making the motion of screwing the top on. She then lets me know, "bottles are for Elijah, sippy cups are for Camie."
When we went to Costco to get the makings for the spaghetti dinner fund raiser, they have those huge baskets with two seats, she pointed to the other seat and said, "that's for Elijah." She then snapped close, what she calls the seat belt, to keep him safe.
And then yesterday morning, she woke up saying, "I don't want to be myself, I want Elijah to sleep with me." I let her know soon, soon he will be home and he will be sleeping in her room in his crib. She went on to say that she didn't want to be alone. She got up, found her monkey, she calls him Elijah now. She even had to have him (the monkey) when she went to bed last night.
At night, when we pray she includes Elijah and says how she loves him. :)
So as you can see, she is pretty excited about her baby brother, lil monkey, Elijah!
